Can you believe it takes N.D. Mazin one hour to finish a page of his sketchbook!

Andrew Mogridge!!!! Yay!!!

Adele says:

February 27th: Mondays are my worst day of the week, especially when I turn into "Dragon Mother"...it could have been a much more intense sketch, but I decided to laugh at myself a little ( something I seldom do enough of !! ) also... it was a very quick sketch...

My apologies to Jeff Rankin! It took me ages to find the time to plop up these amazing sketchbook gems!

Here's some shots of how my new animation's coming along. Spiffy if you ask me. Can you at least SMELL the happiness emanating from these vectors? I can, and it smells like m-o-n-e-y.

A bit more sketchy goodness... woohoo, actually drawing stuff :-)

A drawing i found in my Inbox this morning, from the legend that is Steak

Andrew Mogridge submits, because he is submissive by nature.

Uppity uppity uppity. Well, this girl I really like asked me to do a picture of a recent event that happened in the geek social circle in Cape Town (I think). Anyway, on my run yesterday the idea of JOCK(S) of the GEEKWORLD hit me like a real lightbulb moment. It doesn't explain the recent events like a social satire cartoon is supposed to, but, it's got a 'Beavis & Butthead' kind of thing going for it, and I really like it.
I also thought on my run today, how it's possible to actually physically harm someone with mind-chunder - like, you just throw up whatever's on your mind onto somone, and then they feel as though they're being assaulted. Just thought I'd share that little insight with all you Internet-addicted-chops.

This morning's drawings over coffee...

My brain went out for a little stroll and this is what it came back with.

Housewarming party, a guy constructed a neat little SpongeBob replica. I asked him to take a picture with his phone and send it to me. He did, and I screwed around with it. I kind of like it, especially the writing. Anyway, that's my story.

File under "Fun Comic Ideas That'll Never See The Light of Day"... and blame it on the flu meds ;-)

One of my buddies wants a tattoo of Ivy over the back of his shoulders. Here's my idea of what he was tuning me:

Then here's a little sketch so that this doesn't seem too arbitrary.

Ohhh, I'm getting all poetic here. Look out Walt Whitman...

Sigh... it's been a dry white season lately when it comes to sketches, drawings etc...other than stuff that's pushed by the work/deadline/make a living imperative.I post herewith some meagre offerings of late... a weird doodle that I messed around with colouring. Anyway, I seem to have a disconnect between masses of ideas in my head and putting them down on paper... as soon as I sit down with pen/pencil/brush.... nada, nothing, crapola!!Very, very frustrating.

My doodle in a bank's brochure this morning while waiting for the dude to go fetch my check from the back. I brought the brochure back with me JUST so I could stick it in the SKETCHBOOK PROJECT. Hardcore dedication - I know.

A page from my sketchbook. Blogging makes me sexy.

Why not go see the exact same thing on my blog?

Sketches from Andrew Mogridge's brain! I love how loose and spontaneous he is!

Here are a couple of insane sketches from Adele that I didn't post up! They are super kiff!!

Adele says:

Feb 9 pic: My youngest daughter Gabriella, after throwing one of her LOUD tantrums, (obviously due to fatigue!) fell asleep in a heap on her duvet , on the floor (it had been dragged thru...)standing over her I decided to sketch away....they always look SO angelic when they're asleep!

In a surprising recent bout of work, here's a sketch I did for a logo, then the final product. I don't know if they're going to dig it: I think it's extremely funny. Anyway, check out www.amplitude.co.za to see what all the buzz is about. N00bs.

I drew some pictures, then added a sketch of a dog to make it comply with the project...SKETCHBOOK project. Ironically, I think the 'taking the piss' sketch of the dog is more interesting than the pictures that I took some time with. Ah...c'est la vie, buttmunch.

Heaven knows we're all faking it.
